Custom Display Protection Service - Terms & Conditions


I. Definitions

Custom Display Protection service 

The service Display Protection (hereinafter referred to as "service") is a commitment by the seller to apply protection to the display using a screen protector purchased by the buyer from the seller.

 

Screen protector

A protective glass or protective film from the seller's offer relating to the type of goods on which the service is to be used. 

Seller

Alza.cz a.s., CIN: 27082440, TIN: CZ27082440, with its registered office at Jankovcova 1522/53, Holešovice, 170 00 Prague 7, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague under file no. B 8573.

Buyer

A natural or legal person who purchases goods or uses services for their personal needs, for the purpose of carrying out business or for the purpose of carrying out business with these goods or services.


II.   Purchase of the service together with the goods

  • Each buyer has the option to purchase the service when purchasing goods from the e-shop www.alza.cz that are eligible for the purchase of this service. Only one service of this kind can be purchased for one unit of goods.
  • Goods that are eligible for the purchase of this service are marked with the option to choose this service upon purchase.
  • The service can be purchased before picking up the order.
  • The price of the Custom Display Protection service is always shown in the details of the product on www.alza.cz.
  • The buyer pays the price of the service together with the purchased goods to which the service applies.
  • The service is explicitly stated on the receipt.

 

III. Provision of the service purchased with the goods

  • The buyer acknowledges that it is necessary to unpack the purchased goods to which the application of the service applies, and agrees that the seller will unpack the goods for this purpose. 
  • The buyer acknowledges that it takes additional time to provide the service properly and that ordering the service may affect the delivery date of the goods.


IV. Purchase and provision of the service at the branch

  • The service can also be purchased directly at the seller's branch (for goods brought in or after picking up the order, if the required screen protector is in stock). 
  • For the provision of the service at the branch, you must have purchased your own protective screen protector from the seller, or you can purchase it at the branch before application. It is not possible to provide the service using a screen protector other than one purchased from the seller. 


V. Lifetime warranty

  • The seller provides a lifetime warranty on the first provision of the service, which means that the buyer has the right to one replacement of the applied screen protector if it detaches, and the detachment is not caused by the buyer but by a manufacturing defect in the screen protector. 
  • The lifetime warranty applies only to the first application of the screen protector, not to mechanical damage caused by the customer. 

 

VI. Claims 

  • When filing a claim concerning the service, it is necessary to provide photographic documentation proving that the service was poorly performed. Then, the claim will be assessed and if it is upheld, it will be resolved by providing a screen protector replacement of the same type, or by issuing a credit note. 
  • If the claim is decided in the buyer's favour and is resolved by applying a new screen protector of the same type, the lifetime warranty for the newly applied protector still applies. 


VII. Moment of provision of the service and termination of the service

  • The service is provided at the time of delivery of the goods to the buyer together with the applied screen protector. The buyer–consumer agrees to the provision of the service before the expiry of the 14-day period for withdrawing from the contract and acknowledges that if they use this right after the goods have been delivered to them, they have no right to a refund of the price for the service. The service has been consumed. 
  • If the seller is unable to provide the service within the specified deadlines, the seller undertakes to issue a credit note for the price of the service in its full original amount.
