I was hesitating between 3-4. In the end I'll give it a 4 considering the price. If you are looking for top quality and crystal clear sound, you need to consider a completely different price (and probably brand).
The sound is a bit dull, the spoken word is unintelligible, the music sounds a bit like you have the speakers "under a blanket", turning the corrections doesn't help much. However, unlike USB-powered speakers, it doesn't suffer from any hiss, hiss (when I turn the volume up to full and stop the music, the speakers are actually quiet), here is a big plus.
The speakers are solid, sturdy, do not twist, do not creak, the cable is pleasantly long. The build quality is definitely a big plus, it does not look "plastic", but on the contrary very reliable and robust. Bottom line, at this price, the speakers won't put you to shame, with a laptop, etc. a very good choice, you can enjoy the movie and the games in peace. Sound for the price acceptable, design and quality above average.
