Choosing an alternative dock was a very frustrating experience for me and I recommend you study it well in advance so you know what you are getting into ("Pelhřimov"): power delivery, no Apple MFT, refresh rate vs. resolution vs. the required CPU power, etc. Carefully test it with all the peripherals you normally use (load it up full for an extended period of time) and be prepared to roll it back. After an apparently defective piece of another model where the network kept dropping out, I ended up with this one as an alternative to the expensive DELL TB3 dock "nadoma". This i-tec model has a bunch of USB ports, long connection cable, power delivery with 130W DELL adapter works (when turned on in BIOS - it can be turned off - even in Windows it complains about insufficient power for fast charge, but the battery holds 100%). The problem occurred after connecting the USB dongle of the Jabra Evolve headset, when the computer completely crashed and all applications accessing the audio device were "paralyzed". Probably a driver conflict, because after disconnecting the dongle it was fixed. The problem occurs whether the dongle is tucked in the dock or directly in the laptop. I don't have a Jabra at home, so it works and I haven't addressed it further. Either way, it doesn't bode well for compatibility with possible new devices.

It doesn't make sense to mount it on a VESA mount behind the monitor because you need access to the power button (consequently the long cable loses its justification)

I use to dell latitude 7300 via usb C. satisfaction. I didn't notice that this model was without an adapter but that's my fault
