it's not a good toy for the cat's psyche, so I always replace it with something physical and that's the end of the game. I bought it because sometimes it's hard to unload a cat and not get tired of it. In the end I don't use it that much though, because in order to make it glow you have to keep the button pressed all the time and it's not pleasant. Plus, the cat must have figured out that the light was coming from that, so he started to enjoy hunting for that pointer directly. It clicks when I release my thumb from the button.
