Unfortunately, after a week I have to edit the review. I originally liked this lens as a lighter and cheaper replacement for the 50/1.8 and was excited about it, but then a few backlight shots came along and unfortunately it was a disaster. I will return it and stay with the 50/1.8. It comes at the price of more weight and size, but its output is uncompromising. For someone who hasn't tried the 50 this will be a great little sidekick for portraits/street shoots, but for me first impressions were unfortunately much stronger than the reality.

Nice focal point for street photography. I bought it instead of the 50/1.8 and I am very satisfied. Worse sharpness, but also one-third the price tag
