Security of the shredding is governed by DIN 32757 standard which prescribes maximal size of resulting strips of the shredded document in five security levels. The lowest level DIN 1 is suitable for common correspondence and unimportant printed documents, most frequently used level is DIN 3 which is suitable for internal and confidential documents.
