GEKO Refractometer for measurement of operating fluids

Thanks to the GEKO Refractometer you will be able to easily measure the battery charge level, the propellant liquid or propylene glycol or ethyl alcohol cooling liquid temperature. This device makes it possible to determine the physical properties of the liquid by measuring the refractive index at the boundary of the medium. The refractor is delivered in a ready state and no complicated setup and installation is required, including a pipette and a cleaning cloth.

Measurement procedure:

  1. Pick up a little liquid with a pipette
  2. Lift the cover and apply 2-3 drops of liquid to the instrument prism
  3. Cover the backplate back so that the measured liquid evenly and without bubbles spreads over the prism surface
  4. After 30 seconds, point the cover to the light source and look into the eyepiece
  5. The image needs to be focused using the focusing ring. And subtract the light / shadow transition position on the appropriate scale indicating the properties of the liquid
