Expansion batteries for laptops
Do you need to be independent of the power source for a longer period of time than a standard battery allows?
AVACOM offers a wide range of expansion battery models for various laptops, boasting a higher number of cells than the original batteries. Since the battery is physically larger, it either extends behind the laptop or lifts the rear of the laptop, creating an ergonomically more convenient keyboard incline.
Batteries made of high-quality components
The batteries feature sophisticated electronics with double protection, which controls the charging of individual cell strings and also protects them from overcharging and over-discharging. With batteries containing high-capacity cells, the laptop's battery life will significantly increase, so even longer meetings will do without your power adapter.
How to keep the battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged at the factory, yet its capacity and performance are below 100%. Therefore, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the full charge/discharge cycle at least 3 times at the beginning. Battery capacity is reduced by the permanent connection to the power supply, so we recommend that you disconnect the device from time to time. If the battery is not in use, store it in a dry place, and check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What causes damage to the batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you discharge it completely and leave it unused for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, charge it only after reaching room temperature. Use the battery only with the devices for which it is intended. Also make sure that the battery is not subject to a short circuit or higher discharge currents. Protect your battery from mechanical damage, chemical agents and moisture.
