Batteries made with high-quality components
The battery is a sophisticated device with double protection which controls the charging of individual cell strings while protecting them from overcharge and discharge. AVACOM batteries are a good, adequate replacement for your original battery.
How to keep the battery in good condition
When the battery is made, it is partially charged, yet its capacity and performance are below 100%. Therefore, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the full charge and discharge cycle at least 3 times at the beginning. A permanent connection to the power supply diminishes the battery's capacity so we recommend that you disconnect the device from time to time. If the battery is not in use, store it in a dry place and check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What damages the batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you lay it aside completely discharged and don't use it for a long time. Don't expose the battery to temperatures over 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, charge it only at room temperature. Only use the battery with the devices it is intended for. Also make sure that the battery does not suffer short circuit or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemical agents and moisture.
