AVACOM batteries for digital video camcorders made with high-quality components
The AVACOM camcorder batteries contain only high-quality cells with high performance and long service life. The batteries have gold-plated connectors and the latest control electronics for trouble-free communication with the device. They also have a number of safety features to prevent overcharging, undercharging, over-current charging and short-circuit. AVACOM batteries are not just a good replacement for your original battery - most batteries offer more capacity (and therefore stamina) than the original batteries.
How to keep the battery in good condition
When the battery is made, it is partially charged, yet its capacity and performance are below 100%. Therefore, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the full charge and discharge cycle at least 3 times at the beginning. A permanent connection to the power supply diminishes the battery's capacity so we recommend that you disconnect the device from time to time. If the battery is not in use, store it in a dry place and check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What damages the batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you lay it aside completely discharged and don't use it for a long time. Don't expose the battery to temperatures over 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, charge it only at room temperature. Only use the battery with the devices it is intended for. Also make sure that the battery does not suffer short circuit or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemical agents and moisture.
