The AVACOM digital camera batteries contain only high-quality cells that provide great performance and long service life. The AVACOM batteries are not simply a good replacement for your original battery – in most cases, they also offer a better capacity (and therefore battery life) than the original battery.

How to keep your battery in a good condition

The battery is partially charged at the factory, yet its capacity and performance are below 100%. This is why, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the full charge/discharge cycle at least 3 times when you first start using it. Being permanently connected to the power supply reduces the battery capacity, so we recommend to disconnect the device from the mains at least occasionally. If the battery is not in use, charge it fully and store it in a dry place. Check it and recharge approximately every six months.

What can damage the battery?

One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you deplete it completely and then put it away for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, do not charge it until you can do it at room temperature. Use the battery only with the devices it was designed for. Also make sure that the battery is not subjected to short circuits or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemical agents, and moisture.
