This tester for network cables terminated with RJ-45 connectors can determine if the cable is faulty, if it has some veins short-circuited, and it detects whether the cable is of the patch or cross type. Loose cables can simply be plugged into the tester, while installed cables can be tested in situ with one end plugged into the tester and the other into a special terminator.
