We are the Sales and Purchasing Department. We choose great products and unique services to best serve our customers throughout Europe.
We help administratively run the team. We add new products and monitor their availability, place orders, handle customer inquiries and cooperate with our suppliers and our product managers within the team.
In the Trainee program, we learn how e-commerce works from the entire Business Unit. We study a lot, collect know-hows and try to apply it in our work.
We influence the success in our given segments. We take care of portfolios filled with a few thousand products. We fine-tune the right news coverage, prices, marketing support and negotiation with our partners.
We are like mini e-shop directors. We give direction and strategy to our given segment and we continually optimise it to the best of our abilities so that we have the best offering for our customers.
We cover several segments. We wouldn't be able to do it without working closely with the Business Unit Managers on key projects. We take part in major business meetings are responsible for the overall success of the entire division.
There's more than 100 of us, so we will introduce only a few.
Petr is a globetrotter and enjoys long-distance running. He joined Alza with 10 years of work experience abroad. Today, he runs the Sales & Purchasing departments and helps build high earning e-shops. He is also the founder of our Trainee program.
He runs the large household appliances segment, where his goal is to make Alza the leader the Czech and Slovak markets. Tomáš is a fan of the latest tech gadgets and enjoys playing guitar, taking pictures and diving underwater.
His areas of expertise include PC components, printers, software and gaming. He views work like a game set to the highest difficulty with a missing SAVE/LOAD button. But otherwise, Paul also appreciates technologies from the past. He cruises the Czech roads behind the wheel of his American classic, and he enjoys listening to music on vinyl.
Ondřej strengthens the board of divisional directors. He is an electronics and sports expert. His team selects, tests and helps provide the most exciting products from around the world that move Alza forward in the new business era, and make life more comfortable and enjoyable.
He is responsible for making Alza No. 1 in selling sports equipment. He’s constantly growing his team of hardworking, clever and motivated individuals. He enjoys spending time with his children. He also likes to play sports and often bikes to work.
He’s responsible for the large household appliance segment, which has profited the company a significant amount. He currently manages the "startup" segments of hobby and garden, auto-moto and lighting. He also hopes to make them the e-commerce leaders within the next two years.
Martin is plays with shapes from our toy segment and tries to improve it to become the market leader. He came to Alza from a multinational retail business, so he can take advantage of our experience.
He creates a vision and direction to Alza’s personal brands and products. His work can’t be done without creativity, innovation and, most importantly, courage. He loves travelling and spending time in outdoors. When he’s not busy thinking about improvements, he likes to cruise through bike trails.
Everyone can sell at the lowest price, but we are not "everyone." The customer always wants something a little extra. If you want to join us, try coming up with your own ideas on how to create the best customer experience.
A year-on-year turnover growth of 20-30% forces us to keep improving. If you want to pull the company forward, you also need to be ahead of yourself.
We open each new segment with the same goal of being the best. We enthusiastically work with colleagues from other departments to create the best "family" e-shop.
Thanks to our own information system, which forms the backbone of the company, we have the opportunity to realise new ideas for our customers.
We come up with new projects, collect feedback, learn from mistakes and keep moving forward. We use robots, gadgets, and other technologies that enable us to keep improving the quality of products and services.
It's often hard to implement ideas. We use various tools to organise our time and work so that we have the opportunity to realise our ideas from start to finish. The outcome is creating cool projects that help the business and others.
We are culturally unique. We are a mix of a corporate and start-up environment. We believe in this magical combination. Sometimes we can get a bit chaotic - we have trees in the office, bring our pets to work and we drink tons of great coffee. We keep creating small teams and we don't believe in thinking inside the box.
We are constantly learning and working with the best, which is the recipe for success. We support an internal rotation system, regular training and testing. We want our roles to overlap and we constantly learn from the other departments.
Everyone with a combination of these superpowers, which we need in order to succeed. We are looking for those that learn quickly, have a general overview, common sense, are excellent with numbers, and have a sense of logical and analytical thinking. The selection procedure is difficult, but when you pass it, you are guaranteed that you will be successful.
