4D City - London

Build a map/model of this famous city, including all its historical and contemporary buildings, and see how the metropolis has changed over the years. Albert Einstein was the one to state that the fourth dimension is time. Assemble each century of the city to see what it looked like and what buildings and architecture existed at that time. 4D City Puzzles contain very detailed city maps that include streets, parks, islands, roads, and train tracks. It is up to you whether you build the London of today or the London of the 12th century.

4D PUZZLES:

  • The first puzzle/layer - history from hundreds of years ago (London - 1666, Paris - 1736, New York - 1700, USA - 1783).
  • The second puzzle/layer - the present (as cities and states in the 21st century). The second layer is laid on top of the first one. It has cutouts for natural phenomena (rivers, mountains) and is made of soft foam (1cm high) so that buildings can be inserted into it.
  • Third Puzzle/Layer - adding buildings (Rome from 497 BC.Nl, London - 1078, Paris - 1345, New York - 1812, USA - 1450 + thousands of years old natural phenomena). This layer is built on top of the second one.
  • Fourth dimension/layer - time. See how the city has evolved over time. Build London in the 12th century, or what Rome looked like before our time). Chronologically, add the buildings as they were built.
