Maximum control of transmitted data
ECC technology monitors transparently, and in real time, the integrity of the data stored in memory. It is able to find, and fix, a bug in one bit and detect the error in two bits. Some memory controllers are able in cooperation with ECC memory to correct errors and greater scope. Most professional boards require memory with ECC support. In cooperation with parity checking, the memory achieves maximum control of data transferred. The parity is that the auxiliary information (the so-called parity bit) and is added to the one-word, and it can subsequently verify the authenticity of the transferred data.
Increased efficiency and processing speed
Registered memory is equipped with a controller that controls access to individual memory modules, facilitates the work, and works with the memory controller on the motherboard, or processor. Memory outwardly behaves as a single module - register chip - who cares about writing, and reading, of individual memory cells, and control passes to the outcome of these operations. This increases the efficiency of memory access, and processing speed, even when using more memory modules simultaneously. Some server boards require registered memory.
