High-performance data storage company LaCie affords massive storage in a rack design comprised of up to eight hot-swap drives. The rack design is especially suitable for the corporate applications, moreover this unit provides sophisticated data security, ease of maintenance and maximum transfer rates. It uses 8big RAID rack hardware, hot-swap design and two Thunderbolt ports affording incredibly stable speed for backups and transferring large files such as 4K video.

Easily configurable RAID
In addition to compatibility with any computer, RAID hardware provides continuous power and better reliability. The discs are natively formatted in HFS and connected in RAID 5 mode for immediate use with a Mac. LaCie RAID Manager software provides you with a centralized, efficient way to configure and monitor all 8big LaCie gulls, which are connected to a single workstation.
With support for RAID migration, you can move from RAID 5 with 4 drives to RAID 5 with 8 virtual disks without data loss. If you are busy, you can set different reporting problems to your email address allowing early intervention without data loss.
The speed and reliability in the first place
Thunderbolt 2 affords incredible transfer speeds, allowing the archiving of large amounts of data in a matter of moments. Additionally, this interface can be easily stacked enabling storage through a single cable to connect to a PC up to 6 devices.
The innovative cooling system ensures long storage reliability, and protects it against overheating. An important element is full component redundancy, which is an excellent tool for professionals to ensure non-stop reliable and secure data distribution.
