Marantz PM5005 Silver

The Marantz PM5005 Integrated Amplifier offers a lot of great sound at an affordable price. It is powered by current feedback which, until recently, was reserved for higher class models. It provides fast and accurate signal processing, which results in perfectly balanced stereo reproduction and a very open, space-filling sound.

Marantz PM5005 can deliver an output of 40W per channel into 8 Ohms or 55W at 4 Ohms. It is encased in a metal chassis with rugged front panelling, which further enhances the solidity of its construction. The amplifier is fitted with custom-optimised components for sound tuning, phono preamp, and even bypass function Signal Processing (Source Direct), which shortens the signal paths to a minimum. These elements raise this amplifier out of the basic category and into a new class.

Current feedback

Current Feedback Technology reproduces sound with wide frequency range and response capabilities. The impedance of point current feedback is limited, which is reflected in a very low phase shift. By keeping the negative feedback (NFB) to a minimum, it has effectively improved transient response. This achieves high readability recitation over the entire frequency range.

Source Direct

Source Direct mode provides the highest possible purity of sound. When activated, the signal passes through the shortest possible route, avoiding the processing circuit tone, which is especially important for audiophile recordings, where users prefer the closest reproduction in relation to the original recording.
