IMPORTANT FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: Use the correct amount of aligned measuring cups as instructed. The child may feel sick when using more or less measuring cups than directed. If you do not use the prepared UM within 2 hours of preparation, we recommend pouring it out and preparing a new one. What do you often ask us?

DHA (or Docosahexaenoic Acid) is one of the? -3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. They are very important for infants during the growth period, but the body cannot make them on its own, so they must be taken in through food. DHA is one of the basic building blocks of the nervous system and brain, as well as the retina of the eye, thus affecting their function and development.
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/127 of 25 September 2015, established that from February 2020, all infant formulae and follow-on formulae (with the exception of formulae made from hydrolysed proteins, for which the Regulation applies from February 2021) must contain 20-50 mg DHA/100 kcal. Kendamil's new range of organic/organic infant formula and follow-on formula fully meets these recommendations, containing an increased amount of substances known as DHA*. In addition, DHA is from the oil of the microalga Schizochytrium sp. (T18).

We asked why all infant formulas using non-fat milk contain 25-30% vegetable fat when these fats are primarily used for cooking and food production. Breast milk contains no more than 51 % saturated fat. Twenty years ago, infant formulas also contained whole milk. We asked: "Why has it changed?" and we got the answer: "To save us." Our findings and further research have led us to return to full-fat milk with honey and oil.

It won't, quite the opposite. Your baby will get all the nutrients they need in Kendamil milk, as it is made to be as close to breast milk as possible. Obě řady – jak klasická, tak BIO řada – jsou vyrobené z plnotučného kravského milk. BIO neboli Organic Milk pochází z lokálních BIO farem, které jsou menší a mají certifikát bio. These organic farms are more environmentally friendly and use only organic fertilizers, with cows on free pasture up to 200 days a year.
Není vhodný pro děti trpící alergií na bílkovinu kravského milk nebo s intolerancí na laktózu. Kendamil does not contain palm oil, fish oil or soy. Animal fat is much easier to digest than vegetable fats.

A review of evidence from nine studies also showed, that the use of palm olein (the liquid component of palm oil) in infant formulas can have unintended consequences, including reduced intramuscular fat and fatty acids. The use of palm oil may not be ethical, not least because it may encourage massive deforestation in areas where oil palm is grown.

DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) - an omega-3 acid we get from seaweed oil. While most people believe that fish produce their own omega-3 acids, it is the algae in their diet that makes them a rich source of these acids. This alternative to fish oil is sourced from renewable and sustainable sources, so switching to it helps save the world's precious seafood supply.

The evidence available to date on the beneficial effects of infant formula supplemented with probiotics on infant health is mainly from single studies and studies with methodological limitations or inconsistent results in several comparable studies. Therefore, EFSA (Panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies) also states that there is insufficient information to draw firm conclusions on the beneficial effects of probiotic strains added to infant formulae and follow-on formulae. There is evidence that the viability of bacteria in common forms of supplements (dietary capsules/tablets, dragees) already declines quite rapidly before the end of the declared minimum shelf life (usually 24 months) to levels where the desired effects can no longer be expected.
