NIKKOR 24mm F1.8G AF-S ED

The fast wide-angle Nikkor lens is perfect for capturing images of impressive landscapes, dramatic architectural sites or spacious interiors. It does an excellent job not only with APS-C but with full-frame SLRs as well. The great aperture of F1.8 is the ideal prerequisite for achieving better shallow focus depth.

The focal length of 24mm offers a wide angle of 84°. If you have an APS-C DSLR, that means a focal length of 36mm and angle of 61°. The lens is composed of 12 optical elements in 9 groups. There is also a pair of ED members, two spherical members and members with a Nano Crystal Coat layer to minimize ghost and flare.

The 7 blades of the diaphragm provide maximum shielding of F16. You'll be able to focus from 23cm, while the maximum magnification reaches 0.20. A quiet and accurate autofocus is ensured with an SWM motor. The lens comes with is a soft case and a lens hood.

Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.

In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
