This battery pack brings many advantages that you will appreciate especially on the road and during prolonged shooting. It is powered by either one EN-EL15 battery or six AA batteries which allows up to 5,000 shots. Autoexposure lock/focus and an additional shutter button bring greater ease of use. Improved stability when holding the camera thanks to its ergonomic design. The battery pack is compatible with alkaline, NiMH, lithium and nickel-manganese AA batteries. When using an optional adapter the BL-5 battery pack can also be powered by Nikon EN-EL18/EN-EL18a lithium-ion batteries, which are compatible with top-of-the-line Nikon D4 and D5 series cameras.
