Flash Focus

The 4/3" Live MOS sensor makes it easy for you to create perfectly sharp images. It has a 16.84Mpx resolution, which means it effectively utilises 16.00 million pixels and has a high sensitivity to create photos with minimal noise. The captured image is processed by the powerful Venus Engine processor and saved in JPEG and RAW format. The Light Speed AF function ensures lightning-speed processing  (0.07 sec) using contrast detection and a choice of 49 focal points. Panasonic has equipped the camera with the innovative Post Focus technology, which allows you to focus on different places in the photo after the photo is taken.

A 2,765,000-pixel electronic viewfinder and a 3" touchscreen with 1,040,000 pixels will help you capture high-quality photos, which you can use for live viewing as well as for checking the picture taken. The display can tilt 80° up and 45° down to let you shoot from all possible angles. 

Focus on Movement

The camera is equipped with a mechanical and an electronic shutter. The mechanical shutter is capable of capturing images at 60-1/4000 sec. However, this camera can also take pictures at higher speeds by automatically using the silent electronic shutter. This allows a maximum speed of 1/16,000 sec, which makes it easy to take sharp shots of fast-moving events such as sports games. The quiet operation of the electronic shutter is especially useful if you want to avoid startling your photography subject.
