If you prefer to listen to music instead of taking in a movie, put on your favourite formats and experience real studio-quality sound in WAV and FLAC. The unit also plays a format called Direct Stream Digital (DSD) used on Super Audio CDs with a sampling frequency up to 5.6 MHz. And do not be surprised when older, compressed, recordings suddenly sound surprisingly fresh and natural, because Pioneer has gained decades of experience in restoring lost signal components, which has culminated in the Advanced Sound Retriever.
