Alza Credit Terms & Conditions

1. PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS

1.1 Alza.cz a.s., ID 27082440, TIN CZ27082440, resident in Prague 7, Jankovcova 1522/53, 170 00, registered in the Business Register conducted by the City Court in Prague, file number B 8573 (hereinafter referred to as "Alza") hereby lays down conditions for providing special electronic gift certificates (hereinafter referred to as "Alza Credit") for purchasing goods and services offered by Alza on its e-shops, available on an Alza-operated website https://www.alza.co.uk/credit. Upon the first use of the Alza Credit service, the registered customer (hereinafter referred to as "customer") agrees to adhere to these conditions.  

2. BASIC TERMS OF THE ALZA CREDIT SERVICE 


Customer

2.1 Before using the Alza Credit service, the customer is required to verify that his or her account information on the Alza-operated e-shops is valid, i.e. the stated name and surname and/or business name and/or registered office and contact email address are correct and truthful.

2.2 The Alza Credit service allows customers to purchase electronic gift vouchers for goods and services available on Alza-operated e-shops. The customer himself determines the value of the voucher, which is always in whole euros (without cents). The voucher value is inclusive of the applicable VAT rate.

2.3 Alza Credit, which the Customer has on his/her user account, may be used at his/her discretion on e-shops operated by Alza for goods and services offered by Alza in accordance with Alza's applicable General Terms and Conditions. The sale of new Alza Credits is discontinued effective [28.3.2022]

2.4 The customer does not pay any handling fees associated with the use of Alza Credit service. This concerns neither the transaction fees for charging Alza Credit in favour of third parties conducting cashless payment according to their current price lists, nor fees of third parties connected with crediting the value of Alza Credit back to the customer due to the withdrawal from the Alza Credit contract.

2.5 Alza provides an overview of Alza Credit value under the customer registration on Alza-operated e-shops. Any complaints must be carried out without undue delay after detecting any anomalies, and presented with relevant evidence.

2.6 In the event of withdrawal from the purchase of goods contract, paid for with Alza Credit, Alza returns the appropriate amount again in the form of Alza Credit. Refunds with Alza Credit are also possible in other cases at the request of the customer.

2.7 In the event that the customer cancels the Alza Credit service, Alza credits the remaining Alza Credit amount to their bank account, or to the credit card which had been used to purchase Alza Credit.

2.8 Alza issues an Alza Credit invoice without undue delay after the order for Alza Credit services has been placed, or as part of withdrawal or complaint. The invoice will be using the customer information as provided in his or her account information on Alza-operated e-shops, or as indicated on the credit note. The date of order confirmation is the date when chargeable event arises.

2.9 Alza undertakes to provide the best possible standard of Alza Credit services, but reserves the right to restrict the use of Alza Credit under exceptional circumstances, in cases of force majeure among others.

2.10 Alza is not liable for unauthorized use of Alza Credit in cases where such use occurs due to inadequate security of the customer’s access information, and when such a situation is not causally related to Alza’s conduct.

3. FINAL PROVISIONS


3.1 The customer is not entitled to assign rights and/or transfer duties relating to Alza Credit to another person without Alza’s prior written consent.

3.2 In the event that there is a substantiated suspicion of Alza Credit service abuse, Alza reserves the right to temporarily suspend the use of this service until the suspicions are refuted by proof to the contrary.

3.3 The rules for provision of this service are based, unless stated otherwise, on the Civil Code, as amended and effective. Rules concerning the protection of personal data are governed by Alza’s general terms and conditions.

3.4 Alza reserves the right to change the terms of the Alza Credit service, but it is obliged to inform customers of such change at least fifteen (15) calendar days before they take effect. In the event where the customer’s rights are considerably limited in connection with these changes, the customer is entitled to withdraw from the service at least the day before the effective date of the amendments, and demand the amount that he or she had in the form of Alza Credit to be returned.
