The SIGMA 150-600 / 5-6.3 telephoto lens is a more compact design than the SPORTS series.
What is the difference between a good photo and a work of art? The answer is simple - the lens. That's why SIGMA is offering the new CONTEMPORARY range of lenses that are modern, light, and compact. They offer a unique ratio of high quality and favourable price. The SIGMA 150-600/5-6.3 telephoto lens features a more compact design than the SPORTS range.
The lens consists of 20 optical elements in 14 groups with FLD and SLD glass elements. SLD elements are made of low dispersion glass, which compensates for image magnification and chromatic aberration for higher optical quality. But FLD elements are even better. They're made from the highest level low dispersion glass and transmit more light than ELD or SLD to ensure colour correction, image sharpness, and improved optical quality.
HSM refers to the hyper sonic motor that is driven by ultrasonic waves, ensuring fast, silent autofocus. DG means the lens is designed with full-frame cameras in mind, so you can use it with both full-format and APS-C SLRs. The lens also comes with OS, or optical stabilisation.
The lens also has very good parameters. It offers a viewing angle of 16.4-4.1°, minimum aperture of f/22, and a minimum focusing distance of 280cm. The package includes a lens hood, a protective case including a protective transport case, and a tripod bracket. Thanks to Sigma USB Dock compatibility, you can easily set up and update your firmware.
