This sophisticated tele-class EX lens from known Japanese company Sigma is particularly suitable for sports, reportage photography, and taking photos of nature and animals. The body includes optical stabilisation which reduces camera shake, resulting in sharper images. The autofocus uses a high speed ultrasonic micromotor, which works with precision and is also very quiet. The secondary chromatic aberration is a three-part apochromatic lens.

It is designed for digital SLR cameras with sensors in the classic 35mm film format. The lens has a fixed focal length of 150mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8. It is equipped with a switch for macro photography which streamlines autofocus in normal shooting. A sun visor is also included.
