SparkFun Block for Intel Edison - 9 Degrees of Freedom

Sparkfun Block is an extension for the Edison electronic kit by Intel, the leader in desktop processors. It is an ultra-small computer platform that caters to entertaining technological experiments and real design work. The Intel Edison Breakout Board Kit is powered by an Intel Atom dual-core processor with integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth interface, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB SSD storage, all built on a 3.5 x 2.5 cm unit.

Edison continues where Intel Arduino leaves off, so when you learn how to design electronic circuits with Arduino, and want to go even further, Intel Edison is waiting for you.

This block adds the ability to use the LSM9DS0 9DOF IMU for full motion support.

It delivers a 3-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis magnetometer. In essence, the IMU is connected to Edison via the I2C bus but can be reconfigured to use the SPI.

The expansion also brings the I2C serial interface that supports standard and fast mode (100 kHz and 400 kHz) and the serial SPI interface.
