SparkFun Block for Intel Edison Dual H Bridge

 

Sparkfun Block is an extension for the Edison electronic kit from Intel, the processor manufacturer. It is an ultra small computer platform that caters for both entertaining technological experiments and real design work. The Intel Edison Breakout Board Kit is powered by an Intel Atom dual core processor with integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth interface, 1GB RAM, 4GB SSD storage, all built on a 3.5 x 2.5cm unit.

Edison continues where Intel Arduino stops, so when you want to learn how to design electronic circuits with Arduino and its performance stops you, you can go further with Intel Edison.

 

 

This extension comes with a dual H bridge which can power two DC motors. This add on module can handle devices with a voltage between 2.7 and 15V and a current of 1 Amp. It can also be isolated from Intel Edison using a level converter.

Output to the motors are marked with "VIN" and "GND". External power will be required to use this extension.
