It measures climb, descent, and air pressure
The Polar V650 HR is also a great choice for winding alpine roads. There is a sensor that measures the air pressure, and records both the climb and descent, including how the last hour looked. Measurements are displayed in metres or percentage of steepness.
Heart rate zones to measure exercise intensity
Heart rate zones provide an easy way to monitor the intensity of your workout. The exact guide will become 5 prepared heartbeats. The heart rate is displayed as either the number of beats per minute or the percentage of your maximum heart rate.
Automatic / manual recording of your pedal rate and performance
Training features include sound alerts while driving, for example when you need to slow down or accelerate. There is also the possibility to automatically or manually record your performance. The ZonePointer indicates whether you are inside or outside the desired heart rate zone, and ZoneLock fixes the heart rate zone before and during training.

Compatibility with external sensors
One of the Polar V650 HR functions is a built-in LED torch that turns itself on in low visibility. There is also a date, indicator of the weekday and button lock function.
