Ubiquiti EdgeRouter PoE

The EdgeRouter PoE is a super-powerful router from the renowned manufacturer Ubiquiti, which belongs to the brand new EdgeMAX series. It has five Gbit Ethernet ports and a 500MHz dual-core processor. It's so suited to small and medium businesses that require security in their corporate network. The router guarantees a high throughput of up to 1 million packets per second without problem, just as in more expensive routers.

Professional Parameters

The core of this router is a two-core MIPS64 processor running at 500MHz with hardware packet acceleration, which works with 512MB of DDR2 memory and 2GB of data storage. It is equipped with five gigabit Ethernet ports to connect to the network, and another port is for administration. Its main strengths and differences from the Lite version are that it also features 3x GBit Ethernet ports that are fully configurable in SWITCH or ROUTER mode with PoE 24V/48V support.

Wide configuration options

The EdgeOS web administration system, which is built-in, is a highly stable system with many useful features. It supports the IPv6 protocol, static routing, OSPFv3, RIP, and BGP protocols. For security, it offers ACL and Zone firewalls, NAT, OpenVPN, IPSec and PPTL L2TP protocols. Of course, DHCP, DNS forwarding, and Quality of Service (QoS) services are a matter of course.

The Router offers an intuitive Advanced UI graphical user interface that will help you control all of the features described above, as well as current status information. It includes the logging of events and detailed traffic statistics. The interface is easily accessible through a web browser. The router can also be configured using a Command Line Interface (CLI) terminal and set up everything you need in the command line to take full advantage of this device or via SSH.
