It runs smoothly thanks to the 1.6GHz Intel Pentium N3710 quad-core processor and the 4GB of RAM. Everything runs on a well-functioning My Cloud OS. Inside, there are four occupied 3.5" slots and an HDD drive with a SATA III interface in a 2 × 6TB configuration.
The WD Sync app lets you sync data from all computers that run on Windows 7 or OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) or higher. You can access your data from anywhere via the MyCloud.com web interface or the My Cloud mobile application. All it takes is a reliable internet connection. If you're accessing a NAS from a computer, you can use the current version of one of the following most popular browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge, or Safari. For seamless video streaming, the end device must support DLNA/UPnP.
With three USB 3.0 ports, you can connect an external drive or flash drive and back up all of your content to My Cloud at just the push of a button. It is also compatible with the exFAT file system. So you can copy all of your content from a digital camera, camcorder or other media device in the same way. With the ability to connect to RAID and 256-bit AES encryption for the entire drive, your data will always be safe.
In addition to reliable device operation, the My Cloud OS operating system provides a simple overview of its status, management of stored content and administration of user accounts and individual permissions. It is also worth mentioning that it has mobile device status alerts, so in the event of a power outage, for example, it will immediately inform you. There's also the ability to back up content to cloud storages like Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive.
My Cloud Apps delivers a toolkit and application package to simplify day-to-day business data across all of your devices. Individual applications are available through My Cloud NAS, so you can only choose the ones you need.
