Zyxel PoE12-HP
The single-port ZyXEL PoE12-HP PoE (Power over Ethernet) adapter delivers an electrical current through the unused pairs (4/5 and 7/8) in a CAT-5 Ethernet cable. Due to the fact that the data is transmitted through the other pairs, both the power and the data for the PoE can be transmitted through a single CAT-5 Ethernet cable. There is no need for any additional power source. The PoE12-HP offers higher throughput (1000Mbps) and power (30W) over the PoE-12.
When installing any IEEE 802.3af and IEEE802.3at compliant device (such as a WLAN access point or IP camera), you have more options and flexibility. The PoE-12 makes it easy to install devices in hard-to-reach areas such as ceilings or high walls, up to 100 metres away, without the need for dedicated power cables. The device does not require any complicated configuration, just plug in the input and output cables. Installation is very easy and does not require any expertise and additional costs. In addition, the device offers surge and short circuit protection.
