One device, two functions

With DSL-AC68, users can choose between DSL or Ethernet WAN connection, so it can be used as a DSL modem and wireless router, or as a standalone wireless router. You can choose the usage mode that really suits your needs. This single device can replace two different modems, which would otherwise consume more power and occupy a lot more space on your desk. DSL-AC68 can seamlessly handle both the basic home network environment and advanced wireless networks.

Two processors guarantee fast and stable connection

DSL-AC68 uses two processors, and therefore provides not only high performance but also excellent flexibility. Each of the two processors optimises one type of connection. By separating the cable VDSL/ADSL and wireless network connection into two computing modules - each with their own dedicated processor - the DSL-AC68 router achieves maximum uncompromising performance for both connection types.

AiRadar provides 150% Wi-Fi coverage

ASUS AiRadar intelligently enhances the strength of the router's wireless signal through precise directional signal amplifiers. The DSL-AC68U DSL router uses three external high-gain antennas and technology for universal adaptation of the radiation pattern to detect the location of wireless devices and shapes traffic to achieve the best optimised, fastest, and most stable connection.

Ultra high-speed USB interface

The ASUS DSL-AC68 wireless modem router is equipped with a USB 3.0 port. USB 3.0 offers up to ten times faster data transfer speeds than USB 2.0. There is also easy and fast FTP, HTTP, and UPnP server function management, 3G/4G shared connection, and remote access to files or playable content from a wide variety of compatible devices using the ASUS AiDisk feature.

Gigabit internet with NAT

The router's equipment includes powerful NAT hardware acceleration and in-built Gigabit Ethernet. The DSL-AC68 wireless modem router offers maximum performance for Gigabit WAN to LAN network connection with speeds of more than 900 Mb/sec, which is 4.5 times more than with traditional software gigabit NAT routers. With this technology, there is pretty much no chance that your broadband Internet will get slowed down.

Download and stream anywhere

Thanks to the Download Master application and expanded multimedia server, you can use your compatible devices, such as PCs, tablets, PS4 or Xbox consoles, or smart TVs to download and stream media files from any devices connected to the router via USB. Download Master can download files even when your computer is turned off. In addition, the downloaded files can be managed and monitored remotely.

VPN server and VPN client support

The DSL-AC68U router provides simple VPN server and VPN client setup for secure and private access to the home network or the Internet. With the DSL-AC68 router, you can easily set up a VPN server with PPTP and OpenVPN support, without having to use a paid VPN service or a separate VPN server. DSL-AC68 can also turn your devices connected to the network into VPN clients through PPTP and L2TP protocols without having to install VPN software on each and every device.

Optimisation with ASUSWRT interface

The intuitive ASUSWRT user interface allows you to easily perform all activities related to the setup, monitoring and network management in one place. The ASUSWRT intuitive graphical interface of the DSL-AC68 router is expanded with many special ADSL related enhancements, which include, for example, a tool for measuring the signal-to-noise ratio, helping you to monitor the stability of your ADSL connection.

AiCloud

ASUS AiCloud offers the most complete, most accessible and most secure cloud platform available. This is a free app for devices running iOS and Android, which allows easy synchronisation, sharing, streaming, and access of all your content absolutely anywhere. Sharing is now easier than ever, thanks to safe links that can be sent via e-mail, text messages, and other means.

Fastest Wi-Fi AC in the world

The DSL-AC68U router is equipped with a new chipset with Broadcom 802.11ac 5th generation Wi-Fi technology. Compared to the current 802.11n standard, DSL-AC68 offers speeds of up to 1.3Gb/sec in the 5GHz band, which is three times more than with 802.11n. More bandwidth means more room for your home multimedia entertainment.
