We bought this iPhone six months ago, so I think I might write a review on this phone. Before buying/Apple Keynote, I was wondering which phone I would buy because I had an iPhone 7 Plus and was happy with it throughout its use, so I was drawn to buying an iPhone again. But there was a big competitor in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. I've been tempted/tempted to get a foldable phone of this format for a while now, and I was almost determined to buy one. After much thought and acceptance of the truth that I have an iPad, Mac, Watch, etc. that leaving the Apple ecosystem is not worth it for me at the moment (mistake 😃). So I chose the iPhone again. Putting aside the fact that I waited almost 3 months for it, thanks to Apple's manufacturing, my experiences are very mixed and I have to admit that halfway through using the phone I curse myself for not buying the Fold 5. I'm not saying that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is bad, but it's the same old song over and over again, it just gets "faster" year after year with the system, a few new features added and newer processors if you pick the Pro series and that's it (USB-C this year too, thanks EK, at least you helped us with something 😊). The first unpacking and setting up the phone made a great impression. Everything ran like lightning with comparisons to the 7 Plus (but it had 7 years under its belt and the battery was still at a solid 83% capacity, I didn't change the battery), enough new features that I had to get used to, but it was a familiar and good environment that I trusted or at least thought I did. The iPhone thanks to the titanium construction is really lighter, some 20 g, and it's really noticeable in the hand, and without any packaging I have to admit that it's a pleasure to look not only at the display, minimal bezels, nice backlighting (indoors, because outdoors the phone is lit at 1000nits and the brightness is so dark, sometimes it is beautifully backlit, used about 2000nits outdoor brightness, but you just can't rely on it ☹). The very first thing I tried was the camera that everyone was praising to the skies. I used Apple's Camera app, I didn't download any app from the App store and took the first three photos of the family sitting on the couch in the living room. I was expecting to sit my ass down from the photos and say, this was a purchase well made. Unfortunately it was not so, it was rather the opposite. As I just zoomed in a bit on my wife, daughter and son, the noise was visible and compared to the 7 Plus, there was a 20% improvement (after 7 years 😃). So it was disappointing, but I figured that a software update would fix it in the future and I would be satisfied. Photos outdoors in good lighting conditions are unbeatable, for the entire time of use, just don't zoom in or out of the scene with the 5x "optical" zoom. Here you can see the blur even in good lighting conditions, but it's still within the range I can tolerate. When I mentioned the 5x optical zoom here, it is not used every time you want to use it in an app. I don't know why, but the iPhone chooses whether to select this sensor or do a digital cutout from the main camera, I don't understand, because only after taking the photo you can see how ugly the photo is if digital zoom is used and the snapshot is there. Regarding the camera, no glory and here Apple should work as much as it can and not just boast at the Keynote that it has moved on again, even though for a normal person it is a significant improvement, if you can say so. I set the camera in the settings to my liking to get the best quality possible, because I don't care how much space the photos/videos take up, since I chose the 1 TB memory size. On the other hand, I have to say that the iPhone's video is beautiful, smooth, without jerks, you can use 5x optical zoom (in good lighting conditions) and the video is simply on par with the underline. I'll continue to praise it in the form of a battery. With my usage such as 20- 50 messages a day, emails, up to 5 phone calls, taking pictures of the kids, my phone lasts up to 4 days. True, when I take more photos (vacation), the iPhone lasts 2 - 2.5 days, but I still think it's a good result and I can rely on the battery 100. Charging is not so glorious, through the supplied cable and Apple purchased adapter, the iPhone charges around 2 hours and wirelessly over 3.5 hours 😃). We're going to the other side of things and that's another negative, let everyone say what they want, but the iPhone sometimes heats up so unpleasantly that even 7 Plus hasn't heated up like this after 7 years. But it's the complete banalities, like taking photos, recording videos, or browsing the Alza app, surfing the internet outdoors. I don't take the heating of the iPhone when it charges, there is simply heat generated here that I am able to accept (I use a wireless charger 95% of the time). So it's true that the iPhone suffers from overheating and even an update by Apple didn't help. The software, still the same and a good system?, the same yes, but not good for sure. The iPhone restarts on its own, a couple of times it happened to me that my messages didn't show up nor were they visible in the messages app/restarting didn't help and I still don't have messages to this day. The iPhone occasionally shoots in 4k (set) or Full HD and I usually find out at home that I'm thinking to myself, the picture isn't as sharp as I would have imagined. Constantly bugs in the system, status bar not working, text overlapping etc. Well just as far as the system is concerned, it's horrible and we're curious to see what Apple will show up with at June's WWDC. I don't want to write an iPhone review here, because that would be for a long time, but if I summarize it around and around, I made a mistake, I didn't risk a little and didn't buy the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5, because I would get a fresh wind in my sails and I would have the opportunity to try a new factor of using phones in general and, most importantly, I wouldn't be this disappointed that I gave almost 50 thousand for an iPhone that doesn't have such a value in my opinion. That the iPhone has a new USB-C?, beauty, it has phones even for 5 thousand crowns and you get an adapter in the package 😃. I have to admit that this is the first iPhone I'm thinking of buying a new Fold after a year, already in the order of 6 Ultra if that's what it will be called, because this is a big disappointment and I expected more from Apple. I know that Android is not without its bugs, but when messages don't show up, the phone restarts by itself, so I'd rather try something else and have a chance to compare. I still have to give a lot of thought to whether I would recommend the phone to other customers, because it's still fighting inside me ....
