Displays use several display technologies. OLED displays are among the best in mobile phones due to their high contrast and perfect black rendering, but the difference compared to IPS is not large. TN is a type of display used more on cheaper devices.

The display type indicates the technology used in the production of a mobile phone displays. It has a great impact on the user experience when viewing photos or watching videos. Among the most popular display types are IPS and AMOLED.

TN - can be found in cheaper models. It is characterised by narrower viewing angles and colour distortion when tilting the screen.

IPS - this widespread display type features high-quality colour reproduction and wide viewing angles.

OLED (AMOLED, SUPER AMOLED) - characterised by low power consumption, sharp images with excellent contrast, but also higher production costs.

RETINA - designed by Apple, it is characterised by very fine resolution and features IPS display technology.
