DVB-S2 (Digital Video Broadcasting - Satellite 2) is the second generation standard for digital television broadcasting via satellite, which brings significant improvements in transmission efficiency compared to the original DVB-S standard. It allows the broadcasting of high definition (HD) and ultra high definition (UHD) channels, as well as multiple standard definition (SD) channels on the same satellite transponder.
