E-TTL (Enhanced Through The Lens) is an advanced flash exposure control system that uses a pre-flash to measure the reflected light from the subject before taking the main image. Based on this measurement, the camera adjusts the power of the main flash to achieve the optimal exposure. E-TTL allows for more detailed exposure control in more complex lighting situations.
