Vacation mode allows users to set the thermostat to a reduced heating level for extended periods of absence, such as during a vacation or business trip. The aim of this mode is to keep the house or apartment at a minimum temperature that will prevent water pipes and other parts of the heating system from freezing during the winter months, and also to minimize energy consumption as there is no need to maintain a normal comfortable temperature when no one is home.
