Ball-less Allen wrenches have a standard hexagonal end and are designed for direct use where the wrench must be applied perpendicular to the bolt or nut. The absence of a ball means that these wrenches cannot be used at angles, but offer a stronger and more precise connection for situations where more torque is required or where access to the bolt is direct and unrestricted.
