Lite material

Lite material is the name for a specific type of filament, i.e. printing strings for 3D printers, whose main characteristic is the low weight of the final product. This filament contains a special additive that activates when heated in the printer nozzle and creates miniature bubbles in the fused plastic. This creates an internal foam structure that makes the final print significantly lighter than with standard materials such as conventional PLA. The weight reduction can be more than 50 percent depending on the print setup. This type of material is mainly used for the production of objects where low weight is crucial, such as parts for remote-controlled aircraft, drones or other models. In addition to its low weight, the material has another feature, namely a matte surface that effectively hides the visibility of the individual print layers. The degree of "foaming", and therefore the resulting density of the object, can often be influenced by adjusting the printing temperature.
