Number of flashes
The number of flashes in IPL (epilator, using intense pulsed light to remove hair) and HPL (epilator, using a lower level of light energy than IPL) epilators is a key factor in determining their lifespan. This figure indicates how many light flashes can be performed with the device before the light lamp or the entire epilator needs to be replaced. A higher number of flashes means the epilator can be used for longer without needing to be replaced, which is beneficial for regular use. For home use, epilators with thousands to tens of thousands of flashes are usually sufficient. Professional models can offer hundreds of thousands of flashes, which is suitable for intensive and frequent use in salons. An important aspect is also the possibility of lamp replacement, which allows to extend the life of the epilator after the number of flashes is exhausted.
