VESA mounting is a standardized system for mounting monitors, TVs and other displays. The name is derived from the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), the organization that created the standard. It allows a monitor to be mounted on a wall, desk or other surface using a compatible mount. VESA mount sizes are specified in millimeters and refer to the distance between the screws on the back of the monitor. Common sizes include VESA 100 × 100, 200 × 200, 400 × 400, etc.
