Klister wax is a specific type of wax that is mainly used on cross-country skis for special snow conditions such as very wet, gritty or variable snow. Known for their sticky, almost gel-like consistency, klister waxes are designed to be applied to the ski's climbing zone, located in the middle section, to improve its ability to climb back up without slipping in these challenging conditions.
