EOS dosiahol hranicu 15 % hlasov, môže dôjsť k spusteniu

Projekt EOS, ktorý sa má podľa zámeru zakladateľov stať v budúcnosti konkurentom Etherea, dosiahol hranicu 15 % hlasov od držiteľov tokenov, nutných k živému spusteniu blockchainu. Držitelia hlasovali pre „producentov blokov“ – na rozdiel od Etherea totiž projekt EOS nestojí na proof of work (ťažbe), ale na tzv. delegated proof of stake; je potrebné voliť 21 producentov, ktorí potom zaisťujú hladký chod siete (potvrdzujú transakcie).

Spoločnosť block.one, ktorá projekt EOS vyvíja, vybrala v ročnom ICO sumu zodpovedajúcu 4 miliardám dolárov. Následne zverejnila open source kód, spustenie samotného blockchainu však stojí na komunite držiteľov tokenu.
