Extended Warranty Insurance
Brief Terms and Conditions

Extended warranty insurance (hereinafter referred to as the "service"):

  • COVERS manufacturing defects that manifest on the product after the expiration of the statutory warranty. The service effectively extends the standard statutory warranty of the insured product by an additional 1 to 3 years, depending on the purchased insurance variant.
  • DOES NOT COVER mechanical damage, theft, defects caused by improper use of the product or use of incorrect/faulty software, or damage caused by natural elements or force majeure. Please note that the extended warranty does not cover consumables and components with an officially shortened statutory warranty, such as batteries, filters, and print heads.

The customer can file the claim directly with Alza.cz, which is the administrator of insurance events:

  • By phone at +420 225 340 777 or by email at [email protected].
  • Alza.cz will handle the insurance claim in one of the following ways:
    1. Repair the product;
    2. Replace the product with a new one;
    3. Refund the full purchase price for the insured product if replacement with a new item is not possible.

The service can be purchased:

Throughout the entire duration of the statutory warranty, if the service is currently available, even after filing the product claim.

The insurance premium is paid once, and the service is activated upon payment.

If the customer is a VAT payer, they will pay full VAT from the repair cost in the case of repairs. However, this VAT can be reclaimed from the state.

The maximum period for settling an insurance event is 90 days, but we aim to resolve each case within 45 days from the product's delivery to the Alza.cz branch.

Cancellation and termination of insurance:

The customer can cancel the service without giving a reason within 14 days of purchasing it.

To terminate the insurance, you can provide written notice within 2 months of purchasing the service. You will only need to pay a proportional part of the insurance.

The extended warranty insurance service expires: 

  • At the end of the termination period,
  • At the end of the agreed insurance term,
  • Upon termination or loss of the insured product,
  • Upon the provision of insurance benefits in monetary form,
  • When the purchase agreement is validly withdrawn during the statutory warranty period due to a product defect.
