PDAF ostření, neboli ostření pomocí fázové detekce scény (Phase Detection Auto Focus), pomáhá při focení pohybujících se objektů, kdy je světlo, které se odráží od foceného objektu, rozděleno na dva proudy světla. Fotoaparát ostří tak dlouho, dokud nemá vlnění obou paprsků souhlasnou fázi.
