Is it possible to extend the warranty retroactively?
Yes, the warranty can be extended during the statutory warranty, as long as the service is currently available. It is possible to extend the warranty even after filing a complaint.

Does the service also cover mechanical damage?
The extended warranty covers manufacturing defects in the same way the statutory warranty does. Mechanical damage is not one of them.

Will I, as a VAT payer, be required to pay VAT, as in the case of car insurance?
Yes, if the insurance claim is resolved by repair. You, as a VAT payer, will be required to pay VAT from the price of the repair (this also applies to the exchange for another piece in the service center). However, as in other cases, the given VAT can be claimed back from the state.

How long can it take to process an insurance claim?
We try to process each case within 45 days from the date the product is handed over. This deadline is met in the vast majority of cases. However, the statutory deadline for settling the insured event is up to 90 days; this is also stated in the insurance contract.

Will I be lent a replacement product for the duration of the repair?
We currently do not provide replacement products for the duration of the insured event as part of the Extended Warranty service.

How to proceed when making a claim for major appliances?
If your large appliance is damaged, you must first contact Alza.sk (tel: +420 225 340 777, e-mail: [email protected]) and report the insured event. In particular, state the cause of the insured event, the extent and nature of the damage. Also provide information from the proof of purchase, which shows when and how the insurance was arranged.
Subsequently, you will arrange a visit from our technician and if the repair is up to a maximum of 70% of the purchase price of the product, you will have the equipment repaired. Send us the invoice for the repair by e-mail and we will reimburse you for the costs of the repair to your bank account stated in your registration. If the repair should exceed 70% of the purchase price of the product (a non-refundable repair) or the service is unavailable, it is necessary to contact our customer line on 02 / 571 018 05 and send the goods to our complaints address together with a cover letter. Do you not agree with how the insured event was settled?
If you do not agree with how the insured event was settled, we recommend that you contact the independent claims adjuster RG Consulting s. r. o. on the e-mail address [email protected]. You will immediately receive a message about the start of the complaint investigation. This can take up to 30 days, depending on the workload and complexity of the case.
