Rangefinders

Laser rangefinders are used to measure the distance between two objects, slope angle, and many other data (depending on the model). Rangefinders are very precise and their measuring deviation generally doesn’t exceed a few millimetres. They are used in construction work, geodesy, some sports, and photography. What to focus on when choosing a rangefinder

Measurement range

  • Determines the maximum and minimum distance a rangefinder is able to measure.
  • 0.1-50 m - ideal for rooms or buildings.
  • 50-100 m - suitable for measuring larger areas such as lobbies.
  • over 100 m - designed for outdoors, sports, and photography.

Measurement accuracy

  • Specifies how precise a rangefinder is and the degree of measurement deviation.
  • up to 1 mm - generally more expensive rangefinders.
  • over 1 mm - cheaper rangefinders.
