when pouring hot water, the steam over the top endangers the hand holding the kettle.
if the kettle heats the water and you have a bigger hand you can get burned pretty badly on the outer shell. (the handle is small)
if you need to reheat the water repeatedly the closing lid is pretty hot and the lid lock does not work 100%

The lid does not hold itself open, it has to be held on when pouring water into the kettle, which is a bit impractical.
I've only had it for a short time, but it works well.
