it was suitable for our existing twin with AEG washing machine and intermediate mounting "above"
The AEG heat pump technology is sensitive to condenser fins being contaminated by laundry dust, and the condenser cannot be reasonably cleaned, even by a service. Our previous AEG dryer lasted 4 years until it clogged and the repair would have cost comparable to a new dryer. Take care to clean the filters and expect to replace with a new one in 4 to 5 years.

I can only compare it to a previous dryer from another manufacturer, still without a heat pump, and the clothes are actually faster and better dried and less wrinkled.
Cleaning the filter is very convenient.
It's addictive: -)
Allegedly, some series "fatigue" the door seals and the dryer then makes whistling noises. It's a good idea to sort it out under warranty.

it does exactly what it is supposed to do, only sometimes it wants to manually change the drying time (longer time - add some extra minute) because the laundry was damp, but that's just about trying it out, so I highly recommend it
