I can get a nice picture and sound from my laptop to the TV.
I'm always afraid that the micro-hdmi part will break in the computer or the connector, I try not to strain it laterally. It looks like it couldn't take any more effort and would break.
But: it's not the connector's fault, it's the fault of the consortium that invented the standard. They could have added a few more millimetres to the connector length to ensure durability.
